DEPUTY HEAD OF THE CENTRE FOR CYBERSECURITY The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. Why we are recruiting The Centre for Cybersecurity has been established by the World Economic Forum in 2018 to address global cybersecurity challenges in a strategic, transparent and collaborative manner. The centre will act as an independent, neutral force as well as a community multiplier with a focus on delivering advice and recommendations. It will also launch coordinated cybersecurity initiatives designed to mitigate and minimize risk while inspiring new global efforts to tackle one of the biggest threats to society. In addition, the centre will develop a cybersecurity prevention platform offering a state-of-the-art connector between stakeholders, and create a trusted hub in which the most important information and early warnings can be exchanged. This is a newly-created role, which is designed to provide the centre with a highly experienced individual. Reporting lines and interactions You will report to Troels Oerting , Head of the Global Centre for Cybersecurity, and will coordinate the centre’s six strategy areas: Strategy Capacity Governance Emerging cyber threats Systemic cyber threats Resilience In addition, you will work closely with heads of Information Security and Business Engagement. The Salesforce Development Lead will bring strong technical and leadership skills to maintain and evolve the current implementation of a platform that is key in the World Economic Forum digital ecosystem. PROGRAMME SPECIALIST, INTERNATIONAL SECURITY   The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation.   The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.   Why we are recruiting   The Global Programming Group develops the official agendas of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland and the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in the People’s Republic of China, which gather world leaders from business, politics, the media, civil society and the arts.   The Global Programming Group is seeking to hire a Programme Specialist who will support the creation of sessions with a focus on framing agendas on economic policy (e.g. trade and investment). We recognize that these issues are increasingly understood as affected by a context of international competition.   The ideal candidate will build on a solid understanding of international economic systems, policy and history, and have a passion for interaction, facilitation and collaboration.   Reporting Lines and Interactions   The Programme Specialist will report to the International Security Programme Lead, working on insightful, innovative and inspiring sessions for an audience of high-level decision-makers.   The successful candidate will work internally with the Forum’s Geopolitical and Regional Agenda group, supporting the creation of sessions with a focus on geopolitics, geo-economics and international security; and externally with think tanks and top-tier universities from around the world to bring relevant academics to Forum events.   Breakdown of main responsibilities:   Time spent on areas of responsibility can be broken down as follows: 60% on programming: this involves the tracking and synthesizing of developments across geo-economics, session design and delivery, including speaker briefings and on-site session management; and actively seeking opportunities to innovate in session design 20% on expert engagement: leading the identification, engagement and preparation of experts for our global meetings.
